Calling those aged 18- 30 in North Yorkshire! Comedy vs Climate Change is bringing climate comedy workshops in spring 2024! Partnering with the Ryevitalise Landscape Partnership scheme to develop two interactive workshops that use humour to explore environmental issues based around our local rivers. 
Whilst climate change isn’t funny, we believe that humour has a vital role in shaping a greener, better and fairer future. Comedy has long been used as a tool to explore topics that are difficult or taboo, and to challenge audiences to see familiar issues in new ways. With this in mind, our aim is to find hope in climate humour – and to laugh a lot along the way.

Our teachers have ample experience across stand-up, sketch, character, clown and improv, and have taught comedy across the UK. Workshops use local stories and perspectives about the environment for comedic inspiration. You don’t have to have any comedy or performing experience to join us, or be an expert in climate change!
