Let’s Dance is a national campaign to inspire everyone in the UK to embrace dance as a way of improving their health, connect with others and have fun.
Founded by Angela Rippon CBE, the campaign is supported by leading organisations including the Sport and Recreation Alliance, NHS, and Parkinson’s UK.
The mission is to get more people dancing together, regardless of age, fitness level or experience.
Kirkham Henry Performing Arts have booked the Milton Rooms for the afternoon of Sunday, March 2 with the idea that each of their community adult classes will come together to do a demonstration of each class, then it is hoped the general public will join in a taster session.
Principal Angela Kirkham said: ‘’Kirkham Henry would love all to take part to demonstrate the benefits of dance. If you do not wish to take part in the demo, I hope you will still be able to come along as staff will be on hand to provide support and talk to anyone who enquires about the classes.
‘’Refreshments, dance books and all things dancing will be available. It promises to be a lovely fun and social afternoon for all.’’
Kirkham Henry will be working closely with the Milton Rooms and hope to raise some funds between them. There will be no fee to take part but there will be a raffle and a donation bucket. Email info@kirkhamhenrycio.org.org for more information.
