Malton Museum Walking Tour: River…Road…Rail
Date: Tuesday 12th July 2022
Time: 7pm - 8.30pm
This tour takes a route along a stretch of riverbank via Navigation Wharf, now a forgotten backwater, telling the story of Malton’s 18th and 19th century transport and trade, and life before the motor car. This area of town was once an extremely important area bustling with life, and the station was once a noisy place with an imposing railway goods handling building, an outsized cattle dock, and extensive coal sidings that served a wide area. Come and learn about how and where it all happened!
Tickets: £8 per person (includes an information pack. Audio enhancement will be used to ensure social distancing)
