Minibeast Hunt

Daily, 10.30am – 3pm

Embark on your very own bug hunt in and around Castle Howard to discover the different Minibeasts that inhabit its Grounds. The Natural Environment team from Castle Howard will be on hand with bug-tastic facts and information.

Build a Mini Bug Castle Howard

Daily, 10.30am – 3pm

Castle Howard will be creating a fantastic new home for the impressive invertebrates, with a special twist! Gather sticks, twigs, and leaves to help build a Castle Howard bug hotel and Mausoleum, while learning all about Minibeast habitats.

Pollinator Game

Daily, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm

Choose whether you’ll be a flower or an insect in this fun interactive game of tag. Buzz and bounce around, while learning all about how pollen jumps between different flowers.

Mud Pies and Seed Bombs

Daily, 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm

No Minibeast adventure would be complete without mudpie making! Pick out the perfect soil for your mudpie, before turning it into a seed bomb. Pop your seed bomb in your garden to start making your own Minibeast habitat at home.
