 2. Enjoy a Day Out & Explore Exciting Local Attractions

Dive into the town’s range of fascinating attractions that are right here on our doorstep. In the heart of the Malton, not only will you find art galleries and workshops, but Malton has its very own local history museum too, which explores exhibits showcasing Malton's Roman origins, medieval heritage, and Victorian past.

Whilst only a short distance away either by car or public transport, where you can experience a day out like no other and visit local treasures such as modern history museum Eden Camp or stately homes such as Castle Howard and Sledmere House amongst others. 3. Green Spaces and The Great Outdoors

Enjoy a scenic walk along the banks of the River Derwent, soaking in the peaceful ambiance and natural beauty. Not far away from the town centre, you’ll find Orchard Fields which was once the site of the old Roman Fort. Now, it is a luscious, open green space which is perfect for unwinding and enjoying some tranquility. Keep an eye out for some picturesque picnic spots and relax with some delicious treats made by Malton’s artisan food producers.

4. Stay a while longer in Malton…

Extend your visit to Malton into the evening and indulge in a delicious dinner at one of Malton’s acclaimed restaurants or gastropubs then head out for an evening of entertainment at The Milton Rooms or see a film at Malton’s art deco Palace Cinema. Fancy learning a new skill? Then head to The Cook’s Place, Malton’s very own cookery school, and immerse yourself in a Chef’s Table dinner evening where you can watch top chefs create fabulous culinary creations for your evening meal!

At the end of your evening make getting home easier by hopping on the Coastliner bus or catch the TransPennine Express train from Malton train station which is only a short walk away from the town centre.
